If we are not careful we might only look at the here and now and not beyond what we see. There is this ability that comes only by faith that enables us to do this. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Beyond what we see.”
I wonder how many would be honest right now and admit that they worry. Yes, we all can be guilty of this but the question is do we stay there? I honestly believe the longer we remain in worry the harder it becomes to look beyond what we see. Many things can feel never-ending however, everything can change in an instant.
I can remember how overwhelming it was when my husband lost his job and it was a very long time of praying and searching for another. We had 3 young children at that time and we did not really have anything in the savings. As you know, bills still come. Yes, this was something to be very concerned about. How would we pay the mortgage? How would we get food, toiletries, gas for the car, etc.? This was so much to consider and we knew that we definitely had to turn to God constantly so that our hearts would not become so overly anxious.
During this time, we were encouraged greatly in our faith as we learned to trust God on such an incredibly deeper level. Every day, we would experience unbelievable miracles. There was not one bill late and every day we had food on our table. To God be all the glory. Our needs were met just as God promises in His Word. It is one thing to read a Bible verse or hear it taught and it is another to experience it for yourself in real time.
I want to encourage you today, if you are in a state of worry, overly anxious or even at a place of panic; please would you take a moment to pause, pray and trust God for the answer. I assure you by faith and not by sight that you will see God do what may seem impossible in the natural. You see, when you look beyond what you see, you step out of where you are and in a place of faith NOT falsehood or fairytale but assurance that God is bigger and I can trust His will and plans for my life. Whatever it is; sickness, financial, family etc. please take it all to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him if necessary to give you faith, if you’re having trouble believing and stand on His promises made in His Holy Word.
Let me hear from you, I would love to know when you had to look beyond what you saw and learned to trust God deeper. Are you there now? Please take a moment and pray even now and ask God to deepen your faith and comfort you in your circumstances. Rest assured that when you pray God hears you and you can trust His will and plans for your life.
