During this Time

During this Time

This is a great time and season to look over this past year. Not that you should become negative about anything, but to be honest of where you are and what you have been able to accomplish in this year. We each can begin a new year with new goals, ambitions and dreams. Now in this season of thanksgiving, and before the end of this year, why not take a moment to be real with yourself on what you have been able to do.

When you are completing a time in your life; you must be able to see the things you may have neglected to do and perhaps begun but never finished. Perhaps, there were good reasons for this but if you are not vulnerable with yourself it can become more difficult to revisit and try to accomplish.

How about those things you were so excited over in the beginning of the new year that you jumped into it and then just moved on to the next thing/s. All is well, but perhaps there was more you could have pushed to do in that area vs just accomplishing the bear minimum. Again, when we are honest about these things in our life, then we can acknowledge the need to push through and do more.

When you face the end of a year, take this time to see the things you have been able to do while considering what you have not. Learn to adjust where you must. Hold yourself accountable and reevaluate how you can prepare yourself for the New Year coming. Facing things honestly will bring success because then you can admit where you have failed to try and where you need to keep pushing through or what you need to restart.

Don’t allow yourself to make any excuses in any of these aspects. Justifying will not bring true growth. You benefit most when you acknowledge what you still need to work on. Also, when you miss the mark, it’s a great time to get it right, restart and try again. We choose if we want to stay stuck in any area especially when we don’t acknowledge what we must change. Growing pains are always felt but will benefit you in the long run. Appreciate what you have and choose what you can work as you prepare for the New Year. Don’t just begin well, keep working hard at it. There is always room for growth in each of our lives.
