Although we may not think much of the way we speak, it would be good to take a moment and consider the words we use daily. Generally speaking, we may be positive, negative or a little of both at times. When we can be honest about our words, we then can be honest about why we may be speaking the way we are.
For the most part, when we are negative, we are attracting negativity to ourselves whether we like it or not. Addressing why we are negative would be the best way to deal with this. Of course, this could open a wound that you prefer not to discuss but for you to gain healing and a different life perspective you must.
When you are living a life of words that are negative; you are causing yourself to be closed up to change. You begin to agree with the very words that have been spoken over you whether they were true or not. You have a skewed view of yourself and others around you.
Words of edification bring encouragement, change, lightheartedness and an environment for growth. It’s these very words that are necessary to break what negativity has done in one’s life. You do not have to become the very words that someone has spoken over you unless you choose to do so. Surround yourself with people who will be uplifting and challenging in a good sense to encourage you toward growth and new levels in your life. Words matter and we must recognize the impact they are having on us.
