As I reflect on this past year of writing, I want to share both the accomplishments and the challenges I’ve experienced along the way. Each year, it is a privilege to grow in my writing journey and share it with you.
Writing is not just a hobby for me—it is an intentional and meaningful part of my life. I consider it an honor to use my words to encourage, inspire, and capture everyday moments. This year marks nine years since I began my writing journey, and I am truly grateful for all that has unfolded along the way.
Balancing Life, Ministry, and Writing
Like many of you, I juggle several responsibilities. Alongside my husband, I serve in our nonprofit ministry
Resplendency while also pursuing my writing. Over the years, my blog has expanded to include reflections, movie reviews, and coverage of comic conferences and other events I’ve attended.
But as much as I love writing, this year has not been without challenges. Health issues have at times made it difficult to keep up with my goals. There are days when pressing forward feels overwhelming, but I’ve learned that staying intentional—even if it means taking one day or one moment at a time—is essential.
Learning to Adjust Expectations
There are times when I cannot achieve everything I had planned in a day. Instead of dwelling on what didn’t get done, I’ve learned to focus on what I was able to accomplish. Gratitude shifts perspective and keeps me motivated, even on difficult days.
Currently, I continue to:
- Write new blog posts
- Attend and cover conferences
- Collaborate with others
- Slowly but steadily work on my book project
- Develop ministry and personal projects
Each of these areas excites me, and even though progress may be slower than I’d like, I remain committed to moving forward.
Facing Challenges with Faith and Gratitude
The hardest part of pursuing writing goals while managing health struggles is pushing through the days when I simply don’t feel well. I am praying and believing for complete health and wholeness, but on the uncertain days, I lean on my faith and the encouragement of my family.
This journey has taught me to treasure the little things and to show compassion toward others. Many people are walking through difficulties—health-related or otherwise—that may not be visible on the outside. A little kindness, patience, and understanding can make all the difference.
Looking Ahead with Hope

Despite the obstacles, I am excited about where writing will take me. My hope is to keep sharing more through my blog, completing new projects, and one day finishing the book that has been on my heart.
Thank you for continuing this journey with me. Let’s remind ourselves to treasure our everyday moments, even the small ones, because they truly shape our lives.

Don’t let anyone or anything make you believe you are stuck.
There is always another way.
Keep pressing on and find it.
