Here we are again, time to take some moments to discuss, “My Thoughts on Megacon 2024.” This year however was different for me, I was able to attend in collaboration with No Load Time and HeadphonesThoughts for two sessions of trivia questions on the HQ Stage on the main Showroom floor.
NOLOADTIME AND HEADPHONESTHOUGHTS TRIVIA
I first would like to take some time to talk about the two trivia panels. It was amazing to have the opportunity to work together with No LoadTime and HeadphonesThoughts. The HQ stage was located on the main showroom floor where food selections, tables and chairs were also available. No LoadTime along with HeadphonesThoughts had 3 categories of questions which included about 5 questions in each and then a final round question.
It was lots of fun to have four participants in the first round of trivia on Thursday and then seven at our second round on Saturday. I had the responsibility of keeping score and making sure we knew who would be our winners. We also had POVfilms filming and taking photos at our Saturday trivia panel. To see and hear the participation from the crowd also made this so much fun. Even when the contestants were not sure of their answers, they tried their best at answering.
Overall, it was a great fun opportunity and I found that it was the final round questions in both trivia sessions that did not have any multiple choices but a guess answer, always seemed to break any ties and assured winners. At the end, all who participated enjoyed the trivia and were happy to to be a part of the experience. Those who won prizes received posters and a nice bag.

PANELS
There were definitely some panels that I wanted to attend during this year’s Megacon 2024. It can get tricky when making plans because sometimes there may be two or more different panels at the same time that you would like to attend. I am glad that overall I was able to make most of the panels I wanted to get to enjoy.

~SLINGING WEBS WITH THE SPIDER-MAN VIDEO GAME VOICE ACTORS which included the voice actors from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game: Yuri Lowenthal (Peter Parker), Nadji Jeter (Miles Morales), and Tara Platt (Yuri Watanabe) for this AMAZING panel.

THE SHOWROOM
The MegaCon showroom experience is something I look forward to as well. It was very enjoyable. Although, I did not spend a lot of my time on the showroom during the 4 days. I always love looking at exclusives, art, comics, cosplay and more. I like looking for cute socks, bags and other items. Then there is interactive displays that you can enjoy too. Overall, the entire showroom will include many things that you may enjoy.
Final Thoughts
Overall, my experience with Megacon 2024 was a lot better than even last year. As, this Con grows, I would love to continue to see even more improvements. I hope that there will be better communication when there are full waiting lines for special guest panels. For example, some waited a very long time to get inside a panel just to be told at the last minute that they will not get in. Many were frustrated by this and I understand and agree.
I was very honored to collab with NoLoadTime and HeadphonesThoughts for the trivia panels at MegaCon this year. It was such a fun experience and great time. I sincerely appreciated being able to attend all four days at MegaCon and honestly look forward to attending next year too. It would be wonderful to have the opportunity to do a trivia collab again next year together at MegaCon 2025.
