MOMENTS TO EMBRACE: OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

MOMENTS TO EMBRACE: OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

There is something about considering a new season and when we find ourselves facing new things. I think we might believe we are ready for new, but when the time comes will we honestly be prepared for it? Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Out with the old and in with the new.”

In order to be prepared for the new, we must decide we will also get rid of the old. What I am considering here is whether this means getting rid of some of old patterns, old mindsets, old ways, etc. in general. It is important to make room for the new in order to not mishandle it. If we choose not to release the old, we really are not prepared for the new. It is like going up a flight of stairs. You will not get to the top unless and until you make steps up one at a time in order to go higher.

It is like going up a flight of stairs. You will not get to the top unless and until you make steps up one at a time in order to go higher.

Learning from the past is such a vital part of our lives. Sometimes, we could believe we are ready for the new things and yet we are still living in the past moments. Without acknowledging these moments, we may then try to walk in the new with these old patterns, old mindsets, old mistakes, hurts, etc. and end up with the same results we hoped would not take place.

Out with the old and in with the new, means just that. Get rid of these things.

Out with the old and in with the new, means just that. Get rid of these things. It is not healthy and neither is it beneficial to us. How do we embrace the new, unless we decide to release these old things? It may mean getting counsel or guidance or even professional help from others in order to learn how to implement new mindsets, patterns and heal from deep wounds. Something that I honestly make sure I do very often is taking quiet moments in prayer and acknowledging where I need to change, choose to forgive myself and others and release the things that are impacting my life in a negative way.

Learning from these old ways establishes a healthy way to embrace the new. Although, it can be difficult but it is not impossible to enjoy the new when you are dealing with the old. The sooner you work through the old, the better you can handle and appreciate the new. This is a continuous process, I know because I am also still walking through things that will bring me toward a better and healthier way of living that I can incorporate daily. Life is about constant learning and acknowledging necessary changes that must take place very often. You will find that your perspective will change too.

The sooner you work through the old, the better you can handle and appreciate the new.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Have you experienced moments when you had to deal with old patterns, old mindsets, and old ways in general? Have you longed for a new season, but find it difficult to get all those old ways out. It is so important to be honest with yourself about these things. I would also love to hear some of the new things you are embracing. Share your story and be encouragement to others with me. Thank you for taking moments with me.

Don’t let anyone or anything make you believe you are stuck.

There is always another way. Keep pressing on and find it.
