My Thoughts on the Movie: Young Woman and the Sea

I want to share my thoughts on the movie: “Young Woman and the Sea.” This inspiring movie is now available on Disney+. I so enjoyed watching this true story about the first American woman swimmer who left a mark in history. Daisy Ridley did a wonderful job.

Trudy Ederle’s Challenges

There are many challenges for Trudy. From early on you watch her as a young girl live through measles. You also see her conquer the ability to learn how to swim although she had the risk of losing her hearing. The movie depicts her being close with her family especially her sister as they both learn how to swim. Although, there were many obstacles to overcome you get the continued sense that Trudy would not relent. She was not only going to learn how to swim, but was going to push past the naysayers that said only men could do so well enough in competitions.

Why You Should Watch the Movie

I thought this movie was so encouraging that I had to share with each of you. It has an incredible ending and I would love for you to watch and share your thoughts after seeing this film on Disney+. Thank you for taking moments with me. I love getting to share inspiring movies with each of you.
