Attending comic conventions is always an exciting experience, and this year’s Florida Supercon 2025 was no exception. I had the incredible opportunity to attend as a member of the press, and I’m thrilled to share some standout moments from this unforgettable event.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of comics, movies, collectibles, or cosplay, this year’s Supercon truly delivered. From insightful celebrity panels to an expansive showroom floor and creative cosplay displays, there was something for everyone.
⭐️ Standout Celebrity Panels at Florida Supercon 2025
Saturday Highlights
Jeremy Renner – “Hawkeye,” Avengers, Mayor of Kingstown
Jeremy Renner’s panel was, without a doubt, one of the most heartfelt moments of the weekend. He spoke candidly about his recovery following a recent accident and the ways it has shaped his outlook on life, acting, and family. I deeply appreciated his transparency and the way he emphasized choosing roles more intentionally now.
Renner also shared about his upcoming book and teased his role in the anticipated film “Wake Up Deadman: A Knives Out Mystery.” Fans, myself included, are looking forward to seeing him in this new light.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Voice Actors Panel
- Michelle Ang
- Dee Bradley Baker
It was a joy hearing from the voice actors behind the animated Star Wars series The Bad Batch. Both Michelle and Dee offered humorous and insightful behind-the-scenes stories. Dee’s infectious energy and comedic timing had the audience laughing throughout. It was also inspiring to hear how both actors landed their roles and what the series means to them.
Sunday Highlights
The Cast of “Lost” – Josh Holloway & Henry Ian Cusick
Fans of Lost were treated to a panel featuring Josh Holloway and Henry Ian Cusick, who reminisced about their time on the iconic show. They shared humorous and surprising stories—including how they often received scripts just days before filming. Like many viewers, they had no idea what twists were coming next, which made their storytelling even more enjoyable.
John Boyega – Star Wars Actor
John Boyega’s panel was another highlight of the convention. He spoke openly about his experience filming Star Wars and offered honest reflections on the storyline surrounding his character, Finn. Boyega expressed how, if given the chance, he would have explored different creative directions for his role.
A truly special moment for me was receiving a signed photo from John Boyega—given to the first 50 attendees of the panel. I was honored to be among them!
🛍️ Exploring the Showroom Floor
The Florida Supercon 2025 showroom was bigger and better than ever. It was exciting to see how much the event has grown since I last attended a few years ago. The energy was electric, with thousands of attendees and a wide variety of vendors offering:
- Collectibles, Funkos, and toys
- Comics, posters, and original art
- A massive Star Wars display
- LARPing and cosplay supplies
- Video games and interactive booths
- Autograph and photo op areas
I also was able to meet “Star Wars Theory” on the Showroom floor. He was signing and greeting fans.
There was so much to explore and enjoy. I was impressed by the diversity of offerings and the overall layout that made it easy to navigate and experience everything.
🎭 Cosplay at Its Finest
Cosplay was another huge highlight this year. From Marvel and DC heroes to anime icons and original designs, the creativity was on full display. It was fun to see fans passionately embodying their favorite characters.
I especially enjoyed watching cosplayers prepare for the Cosplay Central Crown Championships, where participants had the chance to perform and compete for top honors. The craftsmanship and dedication were truly inspiring.
Final Reflections: An Unforgettable Convention
I’m grateful and honored to have received a press pass to cover Florida Supercon 2025. This was my second time attending, and I must say, the experience exceeded all expectations. It was bigger, more interactive, and filled with moments I’ll cherish.
Sometimes, you don’t know what to expect when attending an event like this—but this year reminded me how energizing and joyful it can be to be part of a community that celebrates creativity, fandoms, and storytelling.
Looking forward to what next year has in store! You can find more highlights on my social media. Thank you for following me. Let me know your experiences at comic conferences too.

Don’t let anyone or anything make you believe you are stuck.
There is always another way.
Keep pressing on and find it.
