Our Footprints

If truth be told, we are leaving footprints wherever we go. It is up to us to pay attention to what kind of print we have left and how it may impact someone else. Our feet are positioned in a direction for movement and we are the ones who are choosing the direction we are taking. Where we walk provides a place of security and/or a temporary sense of rest. How about we take a moment to examine footprints we leave.

Although, we may not recognize it right away, we are going down specific paths that will lead toward other paths and on and on. But, are we always paying attention to how we may be affecting those around us along the way? Are we aware of how our steps are impacting us? You see, if we do not always pay attention to why we made certain decisions to walk along that path; we may not see as quickly why we are continuously doing the same things and affecting people the same way. It is when we see how our footprints have left a mark where we have been, that we can then see why we were there.

Perhaps, we walk into a place so often that we stopped paying attention to what kind of a print we have left. Maybe we have allowed ourselves to stay too long where we have already left a footprint and perhaps it is time to move on. This could change the course of your direction, delay further steps and even affect who you are. Becoming more aware of your footprints will cause you to become aware of many other things, so pay attention.

For those of you who are aware of the footprints in the sand poem, have come to realize that it was during those moments when you did not know how you could go on or how did you get through such a difficult time; that it was only one way and that was with God’s help. Relationship with God, assures you that with Him on your side and guiding you, you have steps that are directly being ordered and highlighted to walk in.You also, can rest in the fact that even when you make a wrong decision, He stays with you to lead you in the way you should go. You come to understand that we have Him ready to bring you through.

Footprints are an important part of each of our lives. What kind of print are you leaving? Legacy footprints will cause you to be remembered. Leaving a footprint that will cause others to consider their own steps are to be acknowledged. With God on your side in relationship will cause you to recognize when you are making steps that need change. Adjusting the course of your journey enables you to keep moving forward. Examine your everyday moments in your journey and let me know what kinds of footprints you believe you are leaving in your life?
