MOVING PAST YESTERDAY

MOVING PAST YESTERDAY

We can’t move forward, if we keep looking backward. Get away from what causes you to reminisce on yesterday, especially if it brings you down. We must keep our eyes on what is ahead and learn from those things that affected us yesterday. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Moving past yesterday.”

There are warning signs around us with a constant reminder regarding to what we are thinking about and meditating on too long. You see, it is those thoughts that impact what you are doing even now. If something or things have greatly affected you, you can find yourself in a place of constant reflection and trying to figure it all out. If we were to be honest there are just some things that cannot be figured out and some things that cannot be changed. That does not mean you accept it as if it was “ok.” On the other side of this, it may be a lot to handle however in reality it becomes vital to know how to move past it all.

For the protection of your heart and a chance to fulfill destiny, one must come to the place of acceptance that these unfortunate things have taken place but I can and will move past them. I will not allow these things to change me in a way that will not be for my good. On the other hand, learning in the mist of every circumstance you find yourself in, enables you to take each situation as a place of learning and growing.

Chances are you have been affected by something that has happened and by the way someone has treated you and/or mistreated you. Perhaps you wished you handled it differently and you can see that now. Admitting these things honestly and forgiving those who have hurt you are of utmost importance to move forward. Wishful thinking, over processing and even replaying everything will not change anything and can really become a limitation if you are not careful. How about taking a moment to recognize this and decide today to not allow yourself to spend any more valuable time on these things. Ask God to help you to move past the pain and into your destiny, purpose and journey you were meant to be on.

There is nothing ever worth you settling for, neither anything worth you allowing yourself to stay focused on what is not bringing you into hope and your destiny. Pain is never to be taken lightly, it is to be expressed but it should not to be allowed to push you down, neither push you back and you should not allow it to keep you in negativity. Prayer and allowing God the permission to help you in your life journey will bring you to a place of peace and a new perspective. When you learn how to accept what you now cannot change, you then are brought to that place of growth. It will lead you to embrace what has caused you pain because of how much you have learned from it.

Let me hear from you. What do you believe you have to move past from? Have you found it difficult to do? Admitting these things is the first step to moving forward. Share your story.
