I have to first say, this may include some spoilers for those who have not yet watched this film. Also, I want to mention that this film should in my opinion have included warnings due to sensitive content and parents need to use guidance in watching (Rated PG-13). Let’s take a moment to discuss, “My Thoughts on Black Widow.”
From the start, like in so many Marvel films you will find action and suspense. You see what transpires in Natasha Romanoff’s (Black Widow) childhood and her origins. For me, it was so intense to see her and her sister Yelena (played by actress Florence Pugh) taken and separated where they would become science projects and trained along with other young girls.
I obviously do not want to give everything away from the film, but I have to say, I have been a Marvel fan for years. Black Widow has been one of my favorites. So when I saw they were creating an origin film of her back story, I was super excited. Her strength is what has stood out to me and this film demonstrates that even more. I greatly appreciated that you see it not only physically demonstrated, but emotionally and mentally as well from childhood. I have to admit, when asked, ‘what celebrity I would like to play in a movie,’ I quickly answered “Scarlett Johansson from Marvel’s Black Widow.” I also, really liked seeing her sister’s Yelena’s strength.
The lighthearted moments were great and helped with what this story was really about. I would definitely recommend you see this film in the movie theatres. I enjoyed the fact that Avengers and others were included in this film too. For those who cannot watch in the theatre, it is wonderful that you can do so on Disney+ so make sure you do not miss this one.
Now that I shared some of my thoughts, let me know what you think after watching. I love hearing from my readers. Also, let me know if you watched this film more than once like I did. Make it a movie night and watch on Disney+ (affiliate link) and have my favorite Fudge Cookies (affiliate link).

I love Black Widow! She is definitely my favourite Marvel character. I remember about 10 years ago hearing that they were going to make an origin movie about her. I was so excited! Having waited 10 years, I have to say I was not disappointed. Great movie!
I absolutely loved this movie! The story was so captivating. I’d def watch it again!
I love Scarlet and her character, looking forward to watching this one. I am a Marvel fun too!
I didn’t even know that they were making a movie about Black Widow! I definitely want to see this even more now that you mentioned about her having a sister. It seems interesting! Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t seen it yet but my husband is a huge Marvel fan so we are watching it soon. I can’t wait! I love watching origin stories, especially about female characters.
I really enjoyed it. Given where we left her on Vormir, I was a little confused as to how they would pull it off, but it fits perfectly in the MCU canon.
Though, I am a bit confused where this next saga is heading…
Now I am curious, I must see it:)
I was curious about this movie so I’m glad I read your review. Now I have to go see it!
