IT TAKES EFFORT TO EXAMINE YOURSELF

It takes effort to examine yourself 1-30-18

It takes effort to examine yourself, especially if you have been looking too often at everyone else to find fault. Honestly, I believe it is amazing how easy it is to find fault in others. Pride will dictate to your heart to deny any wrongs you may have done. Once you have acknowledged your wrongs or faults why not take it to God in prayer and ask for His sincere help? Don’t be that person who makes constant excuses for the wrongs being done. As if it is always someone else’s fault for what you are doing. Let’s take a moment to discuss more.

Just as much as we are doing wrong; others are doing wrong as well. This never makes it right, where there are two wrongs. Humility can be difficult in some of the circumstances however the faster you try to get things right on your side the better it is. When you choose to deny fault, you begin to ignore God’s voice of conviction. It is amazing how quick you can lose peace when you do this. Please understand it is not about how wrong you or the other person was. It’s important that you come to a place of acknowledgement where you were wrong.

It has left me without words honestly, every time I have read in the gospels when Jesus was on the cross asking God to “forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” You read all that just took place and see that they did know they were crucifying Jesus but did not recognize that He was the promised lamb that would take away all the sins of the world. In this way, you see that they did not know the fullness of what they did.

There may be times you are making a wrong choice and believe it won’t affect you or anything/anyone else but in the end it really does. This is where you decide will I take responsibility for my wrongs or do I make excuses for them and pass blame continuously.

Choose to examine yourself today and make any wrongs right. You will gain so much in this decision. Let me hear your story and how this choice has affected you.
