THE HUNGER IS REAL
Now, in second week of fasting and praying, there is a real sense of how much I need God. It’s not that you just feel hungry physically but you sincerely hunger spiritually. Let’s discuss more, “The hunger is real.”
It’s amazing the sense of longing for more of God. There is this real sense of, I have to have more of God… more than anything. This hunger now is even more recognizable that it stems from a deep desire for God. There is nothing that can fill that hunger but God. You recognize this as a believer as you take time in prayer and fasting.
Food cannot fill this kind of hunger. I find it funny, how so many will try to fill themselves with everything else but God. In this time of fasting and praying, I cannot have enough of Him. Sitting at His feet and just being in His Presence, feeding on the Word of God, can’t compare to anything else.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Are you in a time of prayer and fasting now; have you experienced the sense that you must have more like myself? If so, I’d love to hear your story. Sharing your experiences brings encouragement to others.
During the month of January, my husband and I feel the urgency to begin the New Year with fasting and prayer. We encourage those who can, to join us at Resplendency whether locally or out of the state. We encourage each person to do as the Lord is leading and make sure to get medical advice before beginning. We believe there is power when we corporately fast and pray. We also have a web series called, “Be Resplendent” on our YouTube channel ResplendencyInc. You are welcome to tune in where we discuss more.
