POWER OF ONE

It can be said, we are more powerful together and if we were honest, there is truth to that statement. Much can be accomplished where there is unity and a willingness to work together on a variety of things. Although there is great strength in numbers, there is also something about the voice and boldness of one who is willing to stand out and be different from everyone else. There are those times, that we can find in history when someone took a stand to voice their concerns and to let it be made clear “something just needs to change here, there has to be another way!” So let’s consider this together as we examine this moment. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Power of One.”

I do not feel the need to mention names or any specifics because by now, I believe there are some examples you have already thought of, if you were to be honest. The need to be a voice is something we can find continuously over our lifetime. It is the individuals who are willing to stand up and let it be made known in a variety of ways, which become the beginning of change even if they may not get to see it. There comes an ability to just believe God that you have to open your mouth, and express this need for change to happen. It is a quality to be admired and a strength that is not easily found!

You see, when you have a group mentality, it is so easy to feel strong with an ability to conquer! But we also should consider that there is a supernatural work at hand when you are the one person being lead to make a stand or say something when no one else has or will! Truth is we will have to walk by faith with God’s supernatural ability and strength in order to go into an unchartered path attempting to bring about change! Time waits for no one and change does not just happen by wishful thinking or only hoping someone else will do something about it!

I would like to ask you, are there some things that you feel you cannot do anything about because you are just one person? Consider the fact that you can do something by letting others know whom you trust with what your concerns are. Brainstorm in prayer how you can let your voice impact those around you as a beginning place and perhaps even the world just because you opened your mouth. Remember, if it was placed on your heart, it was for a reason. You would be surprised when you stepped out of your comfort zone and allowed God to lead you as you sought His will and plans regarding this how you can do so one step at a time. There are some things you may have to remain in prayer about and other things you can begin to be the change around you by being a voice to those around you.

Let me hear you story. Have you felt like I am only one person, how can I make a difference? Do you feel inadequate to do anything? Sometimes you begin with these uncomfortable moments that will lead to a change even if it is one thing at a time. Don’t be lead by emotions but take it to God in prayer and let Him you in the way of peace one step at a time. Keep in mind, sometimes you will do things afraid but that is what living by faith is. Although you may feel alone in the beginning, you may be amazed how many others are in agreement with you. You may be the one who was needed for everything to start for the power of one.
