I was looking forward to watching “The Marvels,” a film rated PG-13 and I must admit I really enjoyed it. I wondered how we would see all three heroines: Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Captain Monica Rambeau eventually work together. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “My Thoughts on The Marvels.”
It was fun to watch how Ms. Marvel finds herself switching with Captain Marvel. We then see Captain Monica Rambeau working on a space project where she is working closely with her boss Nick Fury. She suddenly finds herself too close to a wormhole formed by their arch-villain Dar-Benn. We then begin to see each of these three switching to eventually learning that they must come together to fight.
There were some scenes that I felt were very silly and honestly unnecessary. I must admit I did not like “Goose” the half-cat/half-octopus pet of Captain Marvel. There was a scene with cats that was supposed to be humorous, but I found it to be a bit much. Also, there was a scene that was comical but a little over the top for me personally.
Overall, I like the film and would love to see how these three come together again. I look forward to seeing what happens with Captain Monica Rambeau too and her mom. The X-Men reference in the after-credits scene was exciting to see too.
