We just stepped into another year whether we like it or not. For some this brings hope for a change. Many may see it as greater opportunities ahead with another entire year to consider. Some have not let go of not only things from last year but from years ago. So, for them they do not really see much of a difference going from one year into another. Let’s take a moment to discuss “Turning the page.”
When it begins to get closer to the end of a year, I like to consider what has taken place throughout that time. Like most, I can see where I have grown, failed, had to say good bye to some and let go of others. All the while there is this sense life continues with some incredible things that have taken place. It’s in these moments that you see what has challenged you, strengthened you, encouraged you, weakened you or hurt you. Paying attention to growth is vital. With that, I encourage you to take time to reflect and learn from these times.
This past year, I feel that I have experienced much of all the above. But while going through all these things, I see how God was with me through it all. Whether I recognized it while walking through it or not, He was right there helping me and patiently drawing me unto Himself. Saying this only causes me to worship Him deeper and draws me to want to remain in Him all the more as this New Year begins.
I don’t think any of us can truly understand how much God loves us and how present He is with us always but it is vital especially in the days we live in. I can see how He turns the pages in life. I recognize as my story is being written, He has a way of making all things new. With this New Year, how about we learn to trust God more and decide to take Him completely at His Word. Honestly, we may find there are many who cannot keep their words but God does all the time.
I wish each of you a very Happy New Year! Everyday remember the Lord! He wants to propel us forward and take us deeper by faith! Run to Him more than ever this year and take time for Him daily!
