Let’s be honest, there are some fearful moments we face at times in life. These are the moments we must run to God and not away from Him. It’s only by faith we can do this. Recognizing your need of Him is key during these times. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Face your fears.”
There really is no other way of putting it except that when life is happening and you’re in a fearful place you have a critical choice to make; remain in that overwhelmed state of mind of fear or run to God in prayer. Every time we do not go to God first in these moments, are the times we find ourselves in total despair, anxiety, lack of peace and hopelessness. We begin to believe there is no way out of this scary place and it can get really frightening.
There have been too many times that I have had to face very overwhelmingly fearful moments. Whether it was the time when the Doctors could not hear my son’s heartbeat during pregnancy; a variety of medical diagnosis both personally and regarding family members, when my husband loss his job, or looking at the bank account and wondering how will we get through this. My answer has been running to God even when other voices said it’s too late, too much, nothing can help, etc. You see it was a test of my faith. It was another opportunity in each of these moments that I had a chance to believe God to do what seemed impossible. It was there that I learned in everything give thanks and trust God no matter what.
We can grow with each fearful moment. We can determine to not allow it stop us or push us away from trusting God. When you can’t see how, when everything is so dark, remain in faith even if fear is resounding very loud in your heart! After 3 different Doctors leaving the room one at a time to check for my son’s heartbeat, it was found. What felt like a lifetime, completely changed in an instant when his heartbeat was heard. You bet my husband and I wept in that moment but we also acknowledged God’s hand of mercy!
Decide today, I will not face any fear alone. I need God’s help the most right now to take the lead and show me what to do. Allow Him to direct you even if it is one step at a time. Once you have looked to God, acknowledge that you can only go forward by faith. Outside of believing God, you will remain without hope and fear for your future.
I love hearing from my readers. Let me hear what fearful place you have had to face with God’s help. Every time you share you have an opportunity to encourage others. Let’s continue to take moments together.
