Every day, every week, every month, every year we may want to accomplish certain things and it begins with a mindset to do so, along with steps to implement too. The important part of reaching these moments is setting up management skills with our time. Let’s take a moment together to discuss, “Are we using our time well?”
The feeling of, ‘there is never enough time in the day’ can be overwhelming. Perhaps you plan out your day, but then you realize as the time is going by, I will not be able to accomplish all the goals that I set out to complete. It is important that you do not allow yourself to become discouraged by these moments but instead take a few moments to evaluate the way you are using your time to accomplish the set goals you have.
When we learn to ‘manage our time well,’ we are setting up a lifestyle that will include specifics on what is a priority and organize ourselves to get it done. This may take us dividing up our time with specific activities as to fit in all that we would like to accomplish. You have more skills than you realize, I promise you that, and have the power to live life in a way that makes you happy (and healthy!).
Although this takes strategy to accomplish, organizing our time well will enable us to work smarter – not harder – and in turn will allow us to get more done even with less time even with other pressing matters. Let’s be real, life happens. There may be unexpected interruptions that will disrupt what we organize for ourselves to accomplish. But overall, when you set up specific approaches to accomplish goals with the time you have, I believe you will see that you are able get more done.
Here are 10 things you can begin to do to be more effective with your time:
1-allocate your time
2-Value your time
3-Multitask by prioritizing your time out from highest importance to least
4-Set reasonable goals with the time you have
5-Everyday be deliberate about your time and in accomplishing your goals
6-Stay focused on each thing you would like to accomplish, even with distractions
7-Use timers to maintain finishing specific tasks and to avoid procrastination
8-Take breaks because stress and anxiety can impact your success in accomplishing goals
9-Avoiding tasks can only make you more overwhelmed, so stick to your set goal times.
10-Perhaps put on your calendar set goal accomplishments. Remember to be realistic in accomplishing these goals.
‘Managing our time well’ requires us to be more organized with our days. I can admit to this personally, I had to make several adjustments in my life over the years in order to improve important areas impacting growth. It’s learning to allocate between activities and maximizing our productivity in achieving goals. Let’s remember to take care of ourselves as we are attempting to do better with our time. This may include things such as remembering to eat properly throughout the day, doing things we enjoy, exercising and taking quiet moments in prayer. Accept the things you are able to get done within a realistic timeframe. Take breaks and evaluate where you are and how you can continue to complete what you began. Remember to implement timers to help you and put on your calendar set dates you would like to get these things done.
These are some purposeful moments you can initiate to be better at managing your time. I would love for you to let me know how these effective tools can help you with your time. Every day we can each do better with the time we have been given. It’s important to be honest with yourself and realistic in making changes to accomplishing these goals within the time we would like to get them done. Tell me the adjustments you want to make in order to manage your time better.

Great post.
I am trying my best to be as organised as possible with the time I have and really maximise what I can get done.
These tips are very useful.
Great post! I think setting reasonable goals with the time you have is very important. Some days I put way too many things on my to-do list and get discouraged when I don’t get to everything, even though it was likely an unrealistic goal to begin with.
I’ve never really managed my time well. I have more than enough time to keep on top of my blog, volunteer work, and housework, buy no matter what, I rarely do my housework. I also don’t start my blogging day at the time I set for myself. Depression sucks
Well, for sure value my time enough to say no to myself and not only others. The more I value it, the more I will spend it wisely in cutting out overthinking, negative selftalk, and all those unconscious time consumers that happen in my head than me actually doing outward activities.
Awesome tips!! I often struggle with how to get things done. This is very helpful 🙏❤️
We all have the same hours every day and we have to get the maximum done within them the best possible way. Good time management can only be beneficial for both our physical and mental health and to increase our productivity. All the advices you share are valuable. Thank you!
I was just thinking of this the other day. I spent a whole day working on my blog and didn’t get anything else done. I realized I have to set specific times for each thing that I wanted to get done. Like an hour reading the bible. Then another hour writing my blog post. Then another hour marketing my blog and so on. Once I started doing that I got a lot more done throughout the day. Great read!
This is great! I will definitely start using timers to help me with tasks throughout the day. Sometimes I get so locked into a project I forget about the time!
Great tips! I definitely have to work on it as some days I think the day is gone and I haven’t achieved much…although I know that’s very subjective and during recovery, we are allowed to take our time…
As I get older I realized that prioritizing time for myself is so important. I try to be organized with my time to keep a healthy balance.
Really useful tips on time management but my favourite is “value your time” because it’s all to easy to forget this!
Great post!
It’s not that we don’t have enough time, it’s that we cannot manage it well. These tips are a great place to start!
I love this post so much. It really makes you think if you are spending your time wisely or not
