Summertime is such a fun time to enjoy the sun, beach, outdoors, barbeques, family outings, and more. I was excited to participate in this collaboration with some bloggers from the writing community as we each share on the topic, “Romanticizing the Summer.” Now let’s take a moment to discuss, “Moments I Romanticize during the Summer.”

Since I was young, I really loved summertime, most of all for the longer days with sunshine. I liked getting to go to the beach and mostly enjoyed walks there on the sand and splashing in the waves. Grilling on the barbeque is also enjoyable along with some nice refreshing watermelon. Perhaps there are some things you get to enjoy during the summer months too.

However, there are some specific moments that I romanticize because it is during the summertime that I was married and yearly my husband and I will take special trips together. Each year, we like to make sure that we are making special memories once again as we consider when we initially said “I do” to one another. Even when we could not get away, we would plan a special staycation where we would for example go to a park and have a special dinner and dessert.

Now there have been a few years when people have surprised us with a very nice staycation fully paid for an entire weekend getaway during the summer. It was so incredibly special and romantic as the hotel had desserts and special drinks for us both, etc. There was another time there were rose petals from the door to the bedroom and bath along with some candles. These are moments I will not forget.

This year, I look forward to traveling to San Diego, CA. We will attend a conference, enjoy the weather and more. I have valued the moments I am given. For me, romanticizing the summer is something you should be intentional about and not only expect from others. I encourage you to recognize the things you enjoy during the summer months and become intentional to incorporate them as often as you can.

During the summer, there are several ways to romanticize, but one thing I know for sure is that you must remain mindful of these times that you are given because each moment is a gift. If you enjoy the beach as I do, romanticize these moments as the sun’s warmth touches your skin and embrace the sounds of the waves hitting the shore. Allow the breeze to refresh you and make sure you tell those with you that you appreciate them. I encourage you to stay safe this summer. Remain hydrated, take care of your skin, and enjoy romanticizing moments during the summer season.

Let me know how you plan to romanticize this summer. Will you take a summer vacation? Do you enjoy moments on the beach/outdoors? Do you like barbeques and summer fruits like I do? Remember to use sun care products. I just mentioned a few moments I romanticize during the summer. I truly love getting to reflect with my husband during our anniversary and in the summer months together. Thankful for each of you. Let’s continue to take moments together.
