As strange as it may seem I do not feel regret about anything in my life. Of course some choices could have been different but I don’t think it matters that much because I can never truly know how my life would be if I had chosen differently. I believe that everything in this life has something to teach us.
I do find your advice truly helpful because I know that lots of people deal with this problem.
These are helpful tips to coping with regrets. Thanks for sharing.
I lost someone I took for granted due to complications of a simple surgery and regretted it so much that I didn’t spend as much time as I should have. I went through some tough times but realizing that he would expect me to live fully that I started spending more time and doing things I like to do. Regret is a part of our lives and I feel we have to learn to cope and not become a victim.
I regret a lot of what I have said. I believe people who I should not have and repeated what I heard and I regret that. I am glad to see how some people will accept if you change your thoughts and views on life but some people won’t and this can cause someone to constantly regret and live in the past. Its good to see what you did wrong and move on.
This is such an interesting post. I have many moments in my life that I regret moments in my life like not taking a better job. When this happens to me, I like to focus on the next project or idea that I have. Thank you for sharing this post.
These are all excellent advice! We sometimes really do need to seek out professional help when feeling stuck in a repeating pattern.
I personally strongly believe that regret is a waste of time, and have learned through the years to just accept the situation as it is. It wasn’t easy, and I was also torturing myself with regret over every little thing, but have eventually learned to make the best out of every decision, and if I don’t like it, fix it from that point, without regret.
Regret can often turn into guilt and we may start to feel guilty about things we should have done. Whatever it is, we need to learn to deal with it as otherwise, it’s going to eat us alive. We need to learn to love and forgive ourselves. And learn from our mistakes.
A post like this really makes you think. Good job tackling this topic and raising awareness.
Thanks for sharing! I think we all have things (big or small) that we think about and wish we could do differently.
Thanks for this post. I struggle with various regrets and there are not many resources to really address the issue. So easy in hindsight to regret but preventing requires a lot of reflection.
I have definitely made some decisions that I regret but I try to see the positives (which can often be hard!)
I try not to think about regret because there is nothing usually you can do about it other than worry about something I can’t change. Thank you for sharing.
