Let me ask you, do you believe you are someone who lives with integrity? Are you sure you understand the value and importance of integrity in your life? Do you appreciate having people of integrity around you and even in entering or dealing with businesses? Let’s take a moment to discuss, “The Importance of Integrity.”
Recently, I had the opportunity to gather with some at MCWEN for a night of encouragement. As the guest speaker that evening, I really felt the importance of discussing the topic of, “Integrity.” The funny thing is although we may feel we understand this word, we each can do better in maintaining integrity on a daily basis both personally and in business.
Some things that are necessary regarding integrity include:
**Being an honest person
**Don’t rely only on one perspective
**Admit to wrongdoing and rectify the matter properly
**Doing the right thing whether someone is watching or not
**Maintaining a set of strong standards and values, such as reliability, honesty, loyalty, and trustworthiness.
**Be a role model
**Show appreciation to others
**Demonstrate endurance and flexibility, even when unexpected difficulties show up
**Assist those in need without forsaking your own health
Considering these important aspects of integrity, it causes you to examine your life and reflect on where you are. Do you believe you can do better? If so, where, and how? There are many who say that they “want change” but are doing nothing different to walk in a different way and pattern.
Having integrity can be looked upon as a vital part of our everyday lives and perhaps, we have ignored it too often. Integrity in the workplace is just as important. However, something to think about is whether you are implementing what you want to see and experience in others too. It is funny how some will complain about the things they are not doing themselves. Self-reflection and evaluation are necessary every day for each of us. In business, the owners/leaders, etc. play a vital role in how they establish integrity too. A business will operate well as the leadership has made sure it has incorporated integrity as a major role and foundation.
As I look over so many aspects of integrity, I see that it is as a base to build upon whether in our personal lives and in businesses, ministry, etc. To be better, we must first acknowledge what areas we need to work on and how to incorporate better ways to make sure integrity is included.
Integrity teaches you so many important things in life. When there is a major discussion to be had, making sure honesty is present will bring continued trust. Demonstrating a sincere appreciation for those around you is necessary too. It’s vital to not be quick to take sides but to hear all sides and come to a reasonable solution on the matter/s. Pay attention to everyday situations/cues and recognize when something is off in the relationships/business/ministry/etc. and take the time to implement change when and where necessary. Implementing integrity constantly will establish a standard in you and those around you.
Tell me where you believe you can do better when it comes to integrity. Have you paid attention to areas that you may need to work on? Do you see the importance of integrity not only on a personal level but also in business/ministry/etc.? I sincerely appreciate you taking moments with me and sharing your stories. It will bring encouragement to others too.
Don’t let anyone or anything make you believe you are stuck.
There is always another way. Keep pressing on and find it.

When it comes to integrity, I think it’s important to seperate out blind loyalty when talking about loyalty, as blind loyalty is dangerous and is often used to manipulate people. Interesting post
