I am so in awe to celebrate 5 years of blogging. It has been a wonderful journey for me and I would love to share with you what I have learned, accomplished and hope to still do. Take a moment with me and “Celebrate My Blogiversary.”
I am honestly asking myself, how it can be 5 years already. If you are like me, time sure does fill like it is going by very fast. I remember like yesterday when I wanted to begin writing more and I was encouraged by many to just begin doing it. To be honest, it felt like, how could I squeeze in another thing? You see, I also am currently co-pastoring in a ministry called Resplendency and that alone is a lot to manage. I can honestly say my passion is to bring encouragement and inspiration to others both in my speech and in my writing. So with much thought and prayer, I began to consider writing about everyday moments and “let’s take a moment” blog began. (Yay!)
In the beginning, I was not writing very often due to time constraints, etc. I would share perhaps 1 to 2 blogs a month sometimes. My growth in reaching an audience was very slow but steady. I was not connected to the writing community the way I am now. It was hard to push myself at times to write even when I had so much in me to say. I can honestly say, that I have learned it takes so much discipline to be successful in writing just as in any thing you are wanting to accomplish.
Since the pandemic, I set out to accomplish so much more in my writing and I am so humbled to have been able to reach a greater audience and truly connect with a wonderful community of writers online. Over this past year and a half, I feel I have learned so much more about the ways to broaden my reach and even change the way I was writing. I love the ability to grow and make changes for good in my life. I continue to want to learn how I can do even better and reach more people with words of encouragement.
I love the fact that I have connected with so many and have guest posted sharing words of encouragement on a variety of platforms. Some include: MCWEN Shining for Jesus in These Changing Times and Quiet Trust, Lifestyle Teagal, Creative Corner interview, Jerry Godinho interview, blogging community collaborations Places Around the World and Seasonal Selfcare and even a book review blog for “Start Where You Are.”
It would be my honor to continue to connect with more writers, publishers, companies and affiliates to broaden my reach. I want to continue to expand all that I am doing to the next level. It would be wonderful to even do some more book reviews and include some more categories on my blog. For me, making a difference in someone’s life is worth my time and effort. It would be incredible to begin to making money doing what I love.

Congratulations! My path was similar. After a long dry a spell The writing bug bit me again late 2020. I starteda,self host blog in June 2021and I am looking to eventually make money from it. However I want to expand my reach.
