The More

The More

There seems to be a constant learning. It can feel like a constant shift in life at times. Growth and change seem to go hand in hand. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “The More.”

As time goes on, there is always room for growth. We must recognize this for ourselves. What I have found is that as a believer, God has ways of letting you know it is time for, “the more.” One day you can feel like I think I am finally in the routine of things and the next day, everything seems to feel like an incredible shift. Yes, it can feel like, “hey, what’s up with this?” The moment you have decided to follow the Lord, you have made a decision to allow Him to take the driver’s seat (so to speak). Now you have to be ready for an incredible ride, a journey of a lifetime that cannot be predicted.

It is in these moments you completely learn to grow and trust that God has you right where you need to be. The amazing thing is even in wrong choices we have made, you can sense sharp twists and turns at random times as if God redirects our purpose for our good. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times God has turned the sails after placing alarms in my inner core to not take that turn in my life and not allow that to be a final choice. It was in these times of complete grace and mercy God was allowing me to make the right choice.

As we learn to trust God deeper, He is also trusting us with “the more.” It can be overwhelming as you are continuously learning in these times but it can also be rewarding as you see God’s plans unfold and the timing in all that is taking place.

There are certain moments in walking in “the more,” that you find yourself caught in a place where you must decide, I either will completely walk by faith and not by sight or do the complete opposite. You see when you establish this choice, the longer and higher you find yourself, “the more” you see that it becomes a place of complete trust that God reigns. He is in control of it all. I believe these faith moments cause you to grow so much and it is unexplainable. It can seem unreasonable to the one who does not walk with God like this but you know this to be true because of your various experiences.

When you hear of someone you love hurting, suffering, desperate, etc. these are also vital moments. You choose whether you will take charge or allow God to move and do only what He can. Although, these are great moments of trust, these can also determine how much you can allow God to move in the ones you love dearly. “The more” you release them, “the more” God can do.

I write these things as a reflection of how often we are walking in these experiences as believers of God. It takes time to grow, learn and trust God in “the more.” With each step you can experience God deeper and closer. Let me hear what you have experienced along your journey with God in “the more” moments. Share them and let your stories be an experience that can build others up in with their walk of faith too. You see “the more” we become aware of how often we are not facing these things alone, “the more” we now can become a source of encouragement and see God had a purpose in it all.
