Time is truly a gift! When we consider the fact that time is given to us on a daily basis this is something to really ponder on. You see, we cannot take back time that has only passed us by. Neither can you go back in time. Although, there are moments when we wished we could. Let’s take a moment to discuss, “Time is truly a gift.“
Truth be told, time is going by quickly and yet we are given this gift to be faithful with. It is important to consider the time we have and time we have already spent. Are we making the most with the time we have been given? God, help us to consider our days and to acknowledge that each day is a gift with time to be used for good!
Some of us have goals set with the hope to get ahead. Others have a little time left and want to be surrounded by loved ones. Still there are those who wished they had more time to do the things they always wanted. Wherever you find yourself in this moment in time; I encourage you to make the most of it and do not put off what you know you can do now.
You may say, I would do that if I know how much time it took me before I began. But would there be any difference? Actually, it would be a great time to examine how you are using the time you have been given. Evaluating how you can possibly be even more effective with your time. Consider this, trying to cram multiple things can actually be ineffective at times. It may be best to ponder how can I get done with this, even if it takes me more than one day? (You may want to also read: “Are we using our time well?”)
The other aspect to consider is that life is truly passing us by quickly and it would be a great time to become more mindful in how you can be around those you love and appreciate. Consider the time that is spent and what you can do in order to have more of these times to be with the ones who mean the most to you. Take in each of those moments and be thankful to have that time together. This time will not be given again. (You may want to read my blog: Living Thankfully)
I also ask those of you who still have things that you would like to accomplish, to think about how you can do something about this now. Begin with creating a two part list including goals to accomplish each of these desires and needs. Now set up each of these desires and needs from your top priority down; remembering to include goals. Lastly, set realistic steps that you can begin with in order to reach each of these from your list. Before you know it, you would find that you are on your way to accomplishing these things and not living in any regret. (You may like to read my blog: “Setting Goals“)
With all this said, we come to see there is so much to consider when it comes to time. It is up to us to recognize the gift time truly is to each of us. From goal setting, fulfilling dreams, working on major projects, life, family and friends, we see that time is given to us to make the most of!
Let me hear from you. Do you believe you are effective with your time? Do you think you become better? If so, how? I have determined to become more effective and mindful of my time and I know this takes discipline and consistency. I believe we all can do better with the time we have been given and I would love to hear your thoughts on ‘time is truly a gift.’

Thank you, Pastor Natalie. Life it passing us to quickly. I will regret no spending any time with my sisters and brothers. My mother is gone, I never spend time with her. I miss that a lot.
I have goals set with God blessing. The time I have left and want to be surrounded by loved ones. God Bless you.
Great reflection on how we should take advantage of the time God has provided for each us. Time is definitely something we should not take for granted and should not not waste.
Sincerely appreciate your comments Nilda & Ed! I love hearing from my readers. I would greatly appreciate if you would also share my blog with others as a source of encouragement! Keep checking back for more of my upcoming blogs.

Thanks for the reminder how important time is and to focus on where our energy should be.
Great post to get us back to reflecting about our life and time. I don’t know if I am effective with time. I do work on getting better but consistency is hard to keep. I try to not waste time though on things that not matter much
Time truly is a gift. It is so precious so let’s make the most and best of it! Thanks for the reminder.
What a beautiful post. The pandemic has opened the eyes of so many, to enjoy every moment, because you never know if/ when you will see loved ones, be able to enjoy “normal” activities, etc. Time definitely is a gift that should not be wasted.
I’m terrible with my time, all I do is waste it while my life is kept in limbo. This has largely been due to my health, but most due to my depression and self-esteem issues. Something I’ve really got to work on
I clearly have a lot to work on regarding what you covered here — this really was food for thought. A lot has got in the way of making the most of my time in the last couple of years so this was a reminder to make some changes.
This was such a great post! Time is truly a gift for sure. Thanks so much for sharing
Great post. This post makes you want to think more about time and how we spend it. Thank you for sharing.
I am terrible with time management and using time wisely. This was a great reminder to use time wisely and not waste it. Thank you!
